14th October 2019 - 'Oil In The Blood' release
It’s been a busy and exhilarating couple of months preparing for the release of ‘Oil In The Blood’. As a true independent, we have released the film without the support of a studio or broadcaster, and self-released under the guidance of our executive producers Trevor Drane and Tony Carne.
The film was released across platforms in the UK, available for digital download to rent or buy on Amazon, iTunes, Google, You Tube Movies, Sky Store and Virgin Media. It’s also available on Blu-ray & DVD from Amazon.
The film has a roll-out release in the US, it’s now available to download or rent on Amazon.com and iTunes, and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on the 25th October. Initial figures point to very buoyant sales.
At present in the rest of the world the film is available to download and Blu-ray in all English speaking territories (except Australia for cost reasons), and in non-English speaking territories on Blu-ray and DVD.
Since the release we have received fantastic feedback from those who have bought or rented it. The release is gathering momentum, we reached number five on the iTunes Documentary Chart, and topped the Amazon Special Interest chart at number one on Amazon.co.uk. It is an ‘Amazon Choice’ product, a moniker earned by high sales volume. We have a 5 star rating from customers who have watched it so far, and some terrific customer reviews.
We are focusing on a social media campaign to publicise the film. We have been garnering a great deal of engagement through promoted posts and targeted advertising. We’ve been blown away by the amount of support we’ve received and the high volume of sharing and reposting of our posts and stories. We are aiming to escalate the campaign as we near Christmas, a key period for sales.
We have a considerable demand for the film to be made available with foreign language subtitles, but at present we are unable to produce these due to cost. In Australia we cannot release due to the cost of required additional certification. We are hoping to raise additional funds to finance both the additional PR, and the production of subtitles and certification to make the release the film worldwide.
